Bad boy, meet bad girl. Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn't like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance. When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard. With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.

Dante is on the good side but he really doesn't know how to be an angel/liberator. He still feels like a demon and enjoys partying like one too. He is given a mission to liberate Aspen and he must or someone else can take his job. It is too easy for him to fall into his old ways with Aspen. She is very similar to him in many ways. How can he liberate someone exactly like him? Especially since he doesn't feel like he deserves it. Dante must face his demons and hell itself.

Aspen was a great new addition to the story. Also so wonderful that it never ever crossed into love triangle territory. I know many of us had our pitchforks ready when we read the synopsis. Dante saw Aspen more as the sister he never had. They both have similar parental problems and end up being very good for each other in a totally platonic way. Charlie and the gang all warm up to her. Aspen is pretty spunky and badass. Her storyline took some unexpected turns.

Dante is still very much devoted to Charlie. Their relationship really heats up! Although at the beginning they are separated for a little bit and that part was kind of slow. Dante and Charlie play so well off each other so I was glad they were not apart for too long. Dante will go to hell and back for Charlie and I mean he did literally. I loved hell! Charlie is still sweet but a bit less innocent. She wants to fit into Dante's life but Dante truly does love her for her and not how she looks which was very sweet.  Behold all the swoon worthy quotes at the bottom. But Charlie definitely shouldn't be underestimated!

A bunch of other new characters and villains as well as some very surprising appearances. I liked that the villains were more involved in the story this time. I think I enjoyed this even more than the first and everything was taken to the next level up. The plot, action, and romance were much more exciting and intricate with this sequel. A very enjoyable ride. Especially the trip to hell as I always think those are fun. LOL I hate snakes so it was no surprise that hell would have them! *shudders* Looking forward to what Charlie and Dante will do next. It doesn't end on a cliffhanger but with some things that I am anxious to see conclude.

"I want to protect this girl from all the terrible things in the world, but at the same time, I want to do all kinds of terrible things to her."

"Are you going to do it?" she asks, pulling her blond hair over her shoulder.
"Ravage you? Yes."

"How do I liberate a girl who is exactly like me?"

"All my life, all I've ever wanted was to take. But with you, all I want is to give you everything--every creature in the sea, every star in the sky...my own beating heart. I love you, Charlie. Just the way you are, I love you."

"If I had a soul," I say. "I'd give it to you."

"You are breathtaking, Charlie. You are stunning now, you know that. But you were stunning before, too. Not everybody could see it, but sometimes that can make a girl so much more appealing. The beauty who doesn't know she's beautiful. The girl everyone seems to ignore, but to the right person she's like this...like this beam of light. You were a beam of light, Charlie," I say. "I'm just sorry it took me so long to see it."

Rating: 5/5

The Collector (Dante Walker #1)
He makes good girls...bad. Dante Walker is flippin’ awesome, and he knows it. His good looks, killer charm, and stellar confidence have made him one of hell’s best—a soul collector. His job is simple: weed through humanity and label those round rears with a big red good or bad stamp. Old Saint Nick gets the good guys, and he gets the fun ones. Bag-and-tag. Sealing souls is nothing personal. Dante’s an equal-opportunity collector and doesn't want it any other way. But he’ll have to adjust, because Boss Man has given him a new assignment: Collect Charlie Cooper’s soul within ten days. Dante doesn't know why Boss Man wants Charlie, nor does he care. This assignment means only one thing to him, and that’s a permanent ticket out of hell. But after Dante meets the quirky Nerd Alert chick he’s come to collect, he realizes this assignment will test his abilities as a collector…and uncover emotions deeply buried.
