Cover Characteristic ~ Fully Underwater

I love today's feature. I think underwater covers are very beautiful and eye catching.
I admit to reading or wanting to read several of these books based on the covers.

 On the Fringe

 Imaginary Girls

The Unquiet

All These Lives

 Wish

 New Girl
Of Poseidon

Lies Beneath (Lies Beneath #1)

Wake (Watersong, #1)

Breathless

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)

Life of Death

Creepy Cover Twins these next two
Which one did it best?

 Tethered

The Willows: Haven (The Willows, #1)

Favorite Cover?
I love On The Fringe. I just love the colors of it. It was the sole reason I read the book which was good.
I also love Imaginary Girls. I haven't read it yet but have been meaning too. I think the red makes it striking.
The last two cover twins, Tethered and The Willows Haven both have a very creepy feel I like them.
I think Deeper is a romantic and sexy cover. Reminds me of Mara Dyer.

  1. I LOVE these cover posts -- I'm going to have to join up one Sunday.

I also think underwater covers are beautiful -- though some of them end up looking very similar.

    1. Yeah many look similar. Like Imaginary Girls, The Unquiet, and All These Lives have similar girls underwater facing their reflection. The last two are literally the same picture with a color change which also happens a lot.

  2. If I remember correctly, Undertow is under water as well!

Gotta say that The Willow's Haven seems creepier than its opponent. I absolutely adore under water covers!

    1. Yes! That is the one I was trying to remember! I think the dark colors of The Willow's Haven makes it look super creepy.

  4. Great picks, you actually put all from which I chose my top 5, so you already saw my favs :) Although other underwater cover I remembered after I wrote my post & it's not on your list is Lost Voices, which is good, especially for the audio book - I love that one.

    2. Me, too, I'm especially bummed about 2 covers with umbrellas that I love, but forgot about & they're both books I own :( I noticed them a few days after that theme...

    3. Oh that's funny that you owned them and forgot! I do that too since my bookshelf is so packed! I don't even want to take books out to look through it cause I'm not sure I can get them all back in! LOL

    1. I reason The Fringe mostly for the cover lol and looked into and added Imaginary Girls based on the cover. I wanted to add Deeper based on the cover but the reviews say it is really sad. I am going to try some other books by that author.

  8. I really like the one for Imaginary Girls, but all really lovely covers :) I just found your blog and will definitely be following it from now on! I also see one of your reviews is On the Island, which I just finished and loved. I thought the cover for that one was awesome as well. I recently added some summer reading lists to my new blog if you want to take a look: http://heartisinthewriteplace.blogspot.com/
    Thanks for sharing these!

  9. I really love the Life of Death and Deeper! I've only read one other Megan Hart book and it was not an erotic novel, so I'm interested to see how she handles that genre. It's made me want to check those out!

    1. Deeper has a great cover! I wanted to read it but it sounds sad. I don't do sad lol I haven't read any Megan Hart books yet but I added one to read. A lot sound sad but I like a fun hot erotic novel every now and then and thee seems to be a lot of love for her books.

  10. Geez, it's not until I see these posts that I realize just how many books use the same theme. That's not really bad, just making the realization is kind of funny. I'm not exactly a big fan of underwater covers though. It's not that I don't like them at all, it's just they don't usually draw me in initially.

    1. With so many books I imagine it is hard to come up with anything unique for a cover. When looking for certain characteristics it is surprising sometimes how many you can find. I don't know why but I just think the underwater covers are pretty. Some more eye catching than others.

  11. All of these covers are so pretty. The only one Im not such a fan of is The Unquiet because I can see straight up her nostrils. My favorite is the Mara Dyer one cause I cant tell if he is pulling her out of the water or holding her in. Deeper looks sexy, but then again it is a Megan Hart book!

    1. hahaha I didn't notice it until you mentioned it but now I can't stop noticing it! I haven't read any Megan Hart books but now I think I will! I love a hot romance every now and then. Deeper is said to be said so I added a different book of hers to my TBR pile but she seems to be popular. I don't like sad books though :-(

  12. Oh my goodness, these are ALL so ridiculously gorgeous! I think you've convinced me that the most ethereal and beautiful covers are all underwater, haha! For me, definitely Tethered. Not just because it's more than one general colour, but also because of the contrast and texture that it creates. When I saw the title of this post, I immediately thought Lies Beneath ^_^ Great covers, and an awesome post, Jen!

    1. I love all these covers too but I probably won't be reading The Unquiet or All These Lives just because they don't sound like my kind of thing. Deeper sounds good and the author seems to be really popular for hot romances! I added one of her books to my TBR pile but not Deeper cause a bunch of people said it made them cry. I don't like sad books.

  14. These covers are gorgeous! My favorites are The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, with the guy wrapped around her (not the other way around) and Imaginary Girls. The red really does stand out!
And the similarity between the last two covers is so disappointing since they're the same image! :(

    1. Love Mara Dyer and red is an awesome color to draw attention. With this meme I have found several covers using the same image but just changing colors and design. There definitely need to be more images for cover design artist to choose from :-( But they all bring something unique.
