Looking for Alaska by John Green is a defintie favorite, and I just recently finished Paper Towns and liked it as well. Something Like Normal by Trish Doller was pretty extraordinary, there is, of course, The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta, and if yu haven't, do yourself a favor and read The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner.

ReplyDeleteAs for recommendations... If you want to go totally crazy and lose every sense of reality, go pick up The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebaer by Walter Moers. I laughed my ass off, but you also need a lot of imagination!
I haven't read I Hunt Killers or Lies Beneath yet, but I want to sooo bad! So of course you could pick those up before me. ^^ I just read Something Like Normal by Trish Doller a few weeks back, that was male PoV, and I think it was really bittersweet story. Or, if all fails you, you could always pick up the classic The Neverending Story by Michael Ende.

I just read Arson by Estevan Vega, and it is a really good book! Would be great for this challenge, and it is part 1 of a trilogy as well!

ReplyDeleteI don't read a lot of male authors but I really enjoyed The Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness. My favourite books with a male protagonist are the Across the Universe series and, of course, the Harry Potter series . Thanks for the giveaway. :)

Lies Beneath for a merman's POV. Something Like Normal by Trish Doller is an amazing contemp. I loved the Curse Workers series by Holly Black. The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta is terrific. Thank you so much for the giveaway.
