Q: BeefcakeandBabes Asks: I like unique names for characters and am looking forward to coming up with some when I start writing. What’s the most unique character name you’ve come across?

The first name to come to my mind was Thierry from the Immortality Bites series by Michelle Rowen. I also like the name Darrak from her Living In Eden series.

Some more weird names were Katniss from the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, Dank from Existence by Abbi Glines, and Rhine from Wither by Lauren DeStefano.

I also liked Lend from Paranormalcy by Kiersten White and Astley from the Need series by Carrie Jones. There are probably more but I just can't think of any others right now.

Let me know your answers or leave links so I can follow back.

  14. Great answers! There are certainly many uinque names in books. I agree that many of the names in the Hunger Games were unique. From minor to major characters there were names that I had never heard before!
