I actually found this meme awhile ago but for some reason I thought I had to read the book and post the review as part of my meme. But I just checked it out and all I have to do is talk about a dusty book on my shelf. Opps, I feel dumb and I could have been participating all this time! LOL
So anyway here is my shameful DUSTY READ!
The Dark Swan series by Richelle Mead
I LOVE Richelle Mead!
I have read and loved the Vampire Academy series and the Georgina Kincaid
series so I ran out and bought all the books in this series.
And they have sat on my shelf ever since.
I know this series is AWESOME!
But I haven't found the time yet.
*Hides face in shame*
Just typical. No love life to speak of for months, then all at once, every horny creature in the Otherworld wants to get in your pants. . .
Eugenie Markham is a powerful shaman who does a brisk trade banishing spirits and fey who cross into the mortal world. Mercenary, yes, but a girl's got to eat. Her most recent case, however, is enough to ruin her appetite. Hired to find a teenager who has been taken to the Otherworld, Eugenie comes face to face with a startling prophecy—one that uncovers dark secrets about her past and claims that Eugenie's first-born will threaten the future of the world as she knows it.
Now Eugenie is a hot target for every ambitious demon and Otherworldy ne'er-do-well, and the ones who don't want to knock her up want her dead. Eugenie handles a Glock as smoothly as she wields a wand, but she needs some formidable allies for a job like this. She finds them in Dorian, a seductive fairy king with a taste for bondage, and Kiyo, a gorgeous shape-shifter who redefines animal attraction. But with enemies growing bolder and time running out, Eugenie realizes that the greatest danger is yet to come, and it lies in the dark powers that are stirring to life within her...
I plan to try to get to this series in February! I'm overwhelmed with fabulous January releases and commitments so I'm not even going to lie and say I'll read it this month. But I hope to read it soon!
I seriously LOVED this series!!! I just received my purchase of the 4th book in the series yesterday, and I can't wait to read it!! Hopefully you get around to this one soon :)

I haven't read this one, too, but I hope you'll get to it soon :)
ReplyDelete@Amy I know! I hear that over and over! I am so ashamed! But I have the book and I plan to get to them soon! Next month! Hopefully...probably...maybe...
ReplyDelete@Aleksandra I need to make time. I love Richelle Mead! And the fourth book just came out so I should really catch up.
Wow! I hadn't even heard of this series. Looks very interesting. If I ever get the time, I'll look into reading it!
