Invaded (Alienated #2) by Melissa Landers
Release Date February 3rd 2015
The romantic sequel to Alienated takes long-distance relationships to a new level as Cara and Aelyx long for each other from opposite ends of the universe...until a threat to both their worlds reunites them.
Cara always knew life on planet L’eihr would be an adjustment. With Aelyx, her L’eihr boyfriend, back on Earth, working to mend the broken alliance between their two planets, Cara is left to fend for herself at a new school, surrounded by hostile alien clones. Even the weird dorm pet hates her.
Things look up when Cara is appointed as human representative to a panel preparing for a human colony on L’eihr. A society melding their two cultures is a place where Cara and Aelyx could one day make a life together. But with L’eihr leaders balking at granting even the most basic freedoms, Cara begins to wonder if she could ever be happy on this planet, even with Aelyx by her side.
Meanwhile, on Earth, Aelyx, finds himself thrown into a full-scale PR campaign to improve human-L’eihr relations. Humans don’t know that their very survival depends on this alliance: only Aelyx’s people have the technology to fix the deadly contamination in the global water supply that human governments are hiding. Yet despite their upper hand, the leaders of his world suddenly seem desperate to get humans on their side, and hardly bat an eye at extremists’ multiple attempts on Aelyx’s life.
The Way clearly needs humans’ help . . . but with what? And what will they ask for in return?

ReplyDelete88dreamers @ Seriesly Reading
I've been kind of on the fence about reading Alienated. A lot of people seem to love it, but just not sure it's for me. I'm going to give it a try this summer...
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics
I am curious to see where this goes, book one was middle of the road for me, but the storyline has potential. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteI didn't love Alienated, unfortunately. The sci-fi aspect was seriously lacking for me. I'm not sure if I'll pick up the sequel, but I hope you enjoy it as much as Alienated.
ReplyDeleteStephanie @ Inspiring Insomnia
I can't wait for Invaded, either! This is when reading an advance copy kind of sucks. Lol. But I'm passing the time by watching Star-Crossed, which is very similar. =)
ReplyDeleteI've never been keen on any form of alien-stories but since watching Star-Crossed, I'm coming around to the idea and might give this series a go!
ReplyDeleteMands @ The Bookish Manicurist
Not sure this is really my thing, but I might try out this series since I've heard good things.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and for visiting my WoW!
Oh wow, that is a pretty long wait! I liked the first book, but I didn't love it, so I might wait to see what reviews are like first. But I hope the sequel will be a good one. :) I didn't realise this had a cover already. I like it!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read the first book but I need to because everyone loved it!
