Top 10 of 2013 ~ Best Standalones I've Read in 2013

Hosted by Rachel from Fiktshun, Lisa from A Life Bound By Books, Jessica from Confessions of a Bookaholic, Jaime from Two Chicks on Books and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads

Reader's Choice Today! I really couldn't think of anything good this year so I decided to go with standalone books since I seem to be really bad with keeping up with a series. By the time a sequel comes out I'm over it and I end up never finishing a series anymore! Therefore I have read a lot more standalone books this year.
To those who celebrate
Have A Merry Christmas!!!!

  1. Great list! I've read only 3 of these: WG, WG, The Summer I Became a Nerd & Amy & Roger's Epic Detour, and loved them, and the rest are on my TBR.

This year I actually spent it catching up on all of those series that got left behind, so I didn't read lots of standalone books.

Thanks for sharing & Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

  3. Such a good topic! I agree I never seem to finish series anymore. I'm trying to get better at it but it's a work in progress lol!

You know I haven't read any of these books. I have been wanting to read The Distance Between Us and Fangirl though I'm glad they were good enough to make the list. And I have a copy of Going Too Far on my shelf that definitely needs to be read now.

  4. I want to read The Distance Between Us, but I also don't want to. I really loved Amy & Roger, as well as Being Friends with Boys. Still have the reviews floating around somewhere on my HD, too. XD And Fangirl, there again.. Damn it.

I should never have participated in this event. It's draining all my ressources. XD

Thank you for stopping by earlier today. Sorry to hear you're all sick. :( Mom always gets the flu around Christmas, and we usually all join her for the fun, so I feel you. Though pizza doesn't sound too bad. Heheh. :D Hope you'll all feel better, soon!

  9. I am reading Cruel Beauty right now. It started off really slow (for me) but I am enjoying it now (I'm about halfway through). I haven't read too many on your list but I'm not the biggest fan of standalones. I get too involved with characters to only have them for one book!

Thanks for stopping by my Top 10 :)

  10. Reading standalones is great, isn't it? No commitment and I'm always falling so behind on series, unless I adore them from the beginning. And shamefully, I've only read one book on your list! But I LOVED it, Fangirl! I think I'm reading Cruel Beauty really soon, though, so I'm excited to see that you liked it so much! I'll have to check out some of the others on your list. Great topic, and great choices! :)
