Danielle and Wes have been best friends since college, so when Wes needs a date for his sister’s wedding and Dani needs a partner for her company’s retreat, they devise the perfect plan: a fake engagement to get through both events unscathed. Adrenaline-junkie Wes can prove to both his ex and his family that he’s well and truly moved on, and serious-minded Dani can prove to her boss that she’s worthy of the promotion he seems to only want to give to a family-oriented employee. But amid the fake swoons, fake kisses, and forced proximity, neither expects the very real feelings that develop. There’s nothing more dangerous than falling for your best friend…but what if the landing is worth the fall?

Falling For Her Fiancé has a best friends romance which is seriously my favorite kind! Plus a plot where they have to pretend to be more than friends but then find themselves enjoying it which is another one of my favorite kinds of romances. Dani and Wes have been friends since college but Dani now lives across the country so they are not quite as close as they used to be. Wes needs a date for his sisters wedding, Dani needs a date for a work retreat, why not help each other out?

Wes's family has been worrying that he isn't over his ex so he tells them that he and Dani are engaged. They believe it since so many people have never believed that Dani and Wes could be just friends.  Even his ex claims she knew he would eventually get with Dani. Dani is enjoying her time with Wes and his family a little too much and she worries maybe they shouldn't continue this charade but a deal is a deal. Lots of great scenes, fake romancing, laughs, and good times.

Wes is also thinking things he shouldn't be, like how hot Dani looks in her dress. They are both having the same thoughts but they are both scared to change things because there was one really awkward drunken kiss in college that almost ruined their friendship. If they try again they both fear it might go the same way. I'm glad this was explained. With many of these types of plots, I'm mad that no one is making a move but knowing that there was a moment that went wrong really explains the characters reluctance to try again. With distance in the way not to mention job and family obligations can a romance work? Really sweet and fun, perfect for fans of a best friends romance.

"Those girls are checking you out."
"They were totally objectifying me while I was riding the bull, too." He rubbed a hand across his chest. "I feel so violated."
Dani rolled her eyes but couldn't help smiling. "Yeah, I'm sure you weren't eating up every second of the attention."

"Why'd you kiss me?"
"Same reason I did in college. I wanted to see what it was like. Maybe back then we weren't ready. But I'm ready now, Dani."

That's always very sweet. :) I'm glad you enjoyed this, Jennifer! I read and liked Madsen's debut novel so I'll be sure to check this out when I have the time. Great review!
