I'm waiting on
The world hasn't ended...yet.
In this sequel to MONUMENT 14, the group of survivors, originally trapped together in a superstore by a series of escalating disasters, has split in two. Most of the kids are making a desperate run on their recently repaired school bus for the Denver airport where they hope to reunite with their parents, be evacuated to safety, and save their dying friend.
But the world outside is dark and filled with dangerous chemicals that turn people into bloodthirsty monsters, and not all the kids were willing to get on the bus. Left behind in a sanctuary that has already been disturbed once, the remaining kids try to rebuild the community they lost. But when the issues are life and death, love and hate, who can you really trust?

Why I Am Waiting?
I love disaster books especially when a bunch of crazy teens are trying to figure out how to work together and survive. Monument 14 was good and still left me with questions of what is going on in the world outside the superstore they were stuck inside. Can't wait to see what further disasters await!

ReplyDeleteIt has a title!?! And cover art! I was unsure of Monument 14 when the tour rolled through my area, but just loved it when I read it a month ago. You've made my day.
ReplyDeleteOOh interesting! I haven't heard of this one, but these end of the world books tend to freak me out! I don't like thinking of the world ending so soon yet, especially with my TBR pile nowhere near being completed!

ReplyDeleteI haven't read the first one but I really like this cover, very simple but to the point. I like disaster books but hate when only one person survives. Hope this isn't one of those...
