When you're lost, sometimes the only place you can go is home. Broken over the death of her fiancé, Molly leaves law school to return to her childhood home in North Carolina. Expecting to lay low until she can figure out what else to do with her life, she finds herself in the arms of her high school sweetheart, the boy who represents everything from the past she tried to leave behind. Looking for an escape, she instead finds a way back to the girl she almost forgot existed and a future she never dreamed possible.

Molly has been through a lot of tragedy. After enduring her father's death before leaving to college, she loses her fiancé while in law school. Not feeling like she is on the right path Molly walks out of class and heads home to escape and regroup. Clayton Falls is a bit of a small town where everyone knows your business. She doesn't want to talk about what happened with her fiancé. Molly also wants to avoid her high school boyfriend Ben. Ben never got over Molly and wants a second chance to prove he can be there for her this time.

Molly is dealing with a whole lot of grief and misplaced guilt over the death of both her dad and fiancé. She has been hurt and doesn't want to let Ben back into her heart. They had such a serious and intense relationship in high school that the old feelings resurface and become hard to fight. I enjoyed watching them fall back in love and there are flashbacks and details explaining their high school romance so that the relationship feels genuine.

Ben took me a little while to warm up to. He used to get high when Molly dated him and often wasn't there for her when she needed him. He stood her up on dates and just wasn't what Molly thought she needed. Molly moved onto college but Ben never stopped loving her. Ben was a sweet guy and I was glad he really stepped it up to prove he could be trustworthy. For a little while I was all for Molly getting to know Gavin. He was a sweet guy but it never became a love triangle.

Molly and Ben were sweet and hot. There were also some really emotional scenes that got me a bit teary eyed. This is a great read for any new adult romance fans! I have really enjoyed everything I have read by Alyssa Rose Ivy so far. She writes wonderfully in all genres and I will gladly read anything she writes in the future. I am super excited for the next book, Veer, and will be reviewing it January 29th. It will tell the story of Gavin and Becca!

"I never believed there was anyone else out there. I knew completely that no one else would ever make me feel the way you did. You were the best thing that ever happened to me, and from the day I realized I loved you, I never even considered a future without you."

"How's the water?"
"Nice, but not as nice as the view."
He laughed. "That's supposed to be my line."

Rating: 4/5
