THREE STORIES. THREE COUPLES. ONE HOLIDAY.

Pretty Near Perfect
by Jolene Perry

The last thing Norah needs is to be attracted to anyone – especially in her deceased fiancé's parents' home. Collin’s starting a new career, and has no business getting involved – especially while staying with his roommate’s family, who very kindly offered to take him in for the holidays. Unfortunately, you just don’t always pick the most convenient time and place to fall for someone.

Six Days of Christmas
by Kaylee Baldwin

When Natalie goes home with her best friend for Christmas, she expects plenty of quiet time to work on a winning ad so she can turn her dream internship into her dream job. Instead, she gets time-consuming Christmas festivities, a house full of children, and Jimmy, her best friend’s brother - someone who makes her question everything she’s always thought she wanted.

Twist of Fate
by Rachael Anderson

When a postcard meant for Kenzie winds up in Ty's mailbox, Ty's faced with a decision. Should he tell her that her fiancé is breaking up with her and let it ruin her favorite holiday, or should he do what he’s wanted to do since he met her - make a move and hope that he can win her over before she discovers there won’t be a wedding after all.

I really enjoyed these stories! They were fun and easy to get into but also emotional at times. They all have happy endings and are perfect holiday reads!

Pretty Near Perfect
by Jolene Perry

This was the most sad story of the bunch for me. Norah is visiting her deceased fiancé's parents' home for Christmas. She was almost getting over her grief and ready to move on until she has to sleep in his room again. But while there, she meets Colin. She doesn't want to make the family uncomfortable by them having to watch her move on but Colin is a great guy and she is drawn to him.

"Yeah, I always thought stuff like this was for Hallmark movies or something."
"A big Hallmark movie watcher, are you?" I tease.

Six Days of Christmas
by Kaylee Baldwin

I enjoyed this one so much because when Natalie visits her friend Janessa's family for the holidays they celebrate with a tradition of celebrating each day of the week by doing traditions of different countries around the world. This actually sounded like fun! LOL But Natalie is a workaholic and is desperately trying to come up with a great ad campaign to land her dream job. She left her other half who is also a workaholic behind and is actually really letting loose and enjoying herself. A big part of that is because Janessa's little brother is home for the holidays and all grown up.

---
"My nakedness doesn't bother anyone. Janessa? Natty? I know Natty loves it. Boys at the U don't have bodies like this."

Twist of Fate
by Rachael Anderson

Tyler McKenzie's apartment is directly below Mackenzie Tyler's. For the last year he has been accidentally getting her mail as well as falling in love with her. But Kenzie is engaged to guy away in Madagascar. When Ty gets a postcard from him breaking up with Kenzie, Ty makes it his mission to hide it so that Kenzie's holiday isn't ruined, and also to make Kenzie fall in love with him so that it doesn't break her heart.

---
"How, exactly, is making me help you turn your classroom into Whoville supposed to make me feel better? Right now I'm feeling more conned that comforted."
"Grinch."
"Cindy Lou Who," he shot back.

Rating: 4/5

Author Jolene Perry

Jolene Perry is an enigmatic figure. She is most often seen behind her laptop, staring at the words flying onto the screen with reckless abandon.

She survived growing up in rural Alaska, driving like a lunatic, and her husband’s careers in the military, as a perpetual student, and an Alaska State Prosecutor. She also survived as a middle school math teacher using her degree of Political Science and French.

One day Jolene was playing her guitar (probably some-thing juvenile for her kids) when she wondered what it would be like to write a song for a rockstar, and her first book was born. (that book is shelved)

She now lives a very glamorous life as a stay at home mom, elbow deep in dirty dishes and peanut butter sandwiches. She doesn’t even attempt to keep up with the laundry because non-writing time is precious, and her family is sorta awesome.

Author Rachael Anderson

Rachael Anderson is the author of four contemporary romances: Divinely Designed, Luck of the Draw, Minor Adjustments, and The Reluctant Bachelorette. She's the mother of four, can't sing, doesn't dance, and despises tragedies. But she recently figured out how yeast works and can now make homemade bread, which she is really good at eating.

Author Kaylee Baldwin

I grew up in Mesa, Arizona, and graduated from Arizona State University

with a degree in English literature.
I currently live in southern Arizona with my husband, Jeremy, and our three children. When I am not writing, I enjoy reading, starting new craft projects, and spending time with my family.

  5. Okay, I'm not into holiday themed books, but I do admit that this sounds good. Especially since they're all kind of short.

    1. Yeah I think it is nice that they are short. You can read one easily each night before bed. I think they are bit more about a romance at Christmas then about just Christmas. I really enjoyed them! And they flt nice and complete.

  7. Sounds like a great holiday read (even if I might need tissues to get through the first story). I hadn't heard of the authors before, so I'm off to check them out.

    1. The first story did make me a little teary eyed. It must be so hard to lose someone you love and then try to move one. It has a happy ending though and the other two stories were cute and heart warming! I have only read anything from Jolene Perry before and her books are great!
