WOW #46




I'm waiting on

 Reaper

Expected Release Date January 7th 2013


There's no way sixteen year old Quincy Amarante will become the fifth grim reaper. None. Not over her shiny blue Mustang. Her Jimmy Choos. Or her dead body.

She’s supposed to enjoy her sophomore year, not learn about some freaky future Destiny says she has no choice but to fulfill.

It doesn’t take long for Quincy to realize the only way out of the game is to play along especially since Death can find her anyway, anywhere, anytime. And does.

Like when she’s reassuring her friends she wants nothing to do with former best friend Ben Moorland, who’s returned from god-knows-where, and fails. Miserably.

Instead of maintaining her coveted popularity status, Quincy’s goes down like the Titanic.

Maybe ... just maybe ... that’s okay.

It seems, perhaps, becoming a grim reaper isn’t just about the dead but more about a much needed shift in Quincy’s priorities—from who she thinks she wants to be to who she really is.

Why I'm Waiting?
I've had my eye on this one for a long time. Still have to wait until January! I love reapers. I'll read anything about them. I think they might be my favorite paranormal creature. Their job is guaranteed to entertain. Excited to see how Quincy handles it.

    I haven't heard of this one until now, it sounds interesting, Im going to add it to my tbr list right now. So far the only story I read that has reapers in are some of the books in the Soul Screamers series, I'll probably read other books about reapers soon.

    I have yet to read a reaper novel! I think I have a few on my TBR, but I just haven't had the chance to read one yet. I do like the sounds of this one. Seems like it will be kind of fun to downplay the darkness. Great pick!

    Sorry it took me so long to comment...I don't have much time to blog, what with two jobs and all...but I finally made it here!

    Just want to say that the only reapers I'm familiar with are the ones in the "
    Angelfire" trilogy, and they're not exactly like death reapers. This particular novel looks terrific!! L.S. Murphy has visited and commented on my blog several times, and I've seen this book on hers. It's already on my TBR list. Thanks for featuring it!! : )

    I like books about any paranormal creature. Until now I have read only Charley Davidson series, but it was good. Did you watch TV show "Dead Like Me"? It's funny and about reapers. :)

    I haven't seen very many stories about reapers...I think the only other one I've come across is Croak (that Liza mentioned above me). This sounds really interesting - a fall from popularity's grace, in exchange for self-discovery? Sign me up!
