FraterFest Read~A~Thon Start Up!

As usual I don't really know what I feel like reading next but I have lots of vamp, werewolf, ghosts and scary paranormal books to choose from. Here are some that I have been dying to get to. My kitty is sick and I have to give him fluids under his skin this weekend and I'm so nervous! I will be busy tending to him but I hope to get some reading done.

Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1)   Body & Soul (The Ghost and the Goth, #3)   Born at Midnight (Shadow Falls, #1)   Reaping Me Softly   Matt Archer: Monster Hunter   The Replacement   This is Not a Test   Hemlock (Hemlock, #1)   Girl of Nightmares (Anna, #2)   Velveteen (Velveteen, #1)   Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine, #1)

I'm hoping to read 2-4 books.
I'm thinking Miss Peregrine's just because I bought the book almost a year ago! It's time to finally read it and I heard it is good and creepy! Matt Archer and Reaping Me Softly need to be read soon for blog tours. I have heard AMAZING things about This Is Not A Test but I'm worried about the ending. I might need to get a spoiler before I read it lol I might start with Born At Midnight because it's calling to me right now. After my guest post I really want to finally get to that series. But then I just remember Velveteen is about to come out so I need to read that too! Gah too many books! Let me know what books here are your favorite and what you are reading if you are participating.

Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness Before Dawn, #1)   Touch (Denazen, #1)

I will wear this beautiful black dress and my date will be Kale! LOVE HIM!

  2. I've heard Miss Peregrine's is really good & creepy, too, but haven't read it. And I've heard amazing things about Some Girls Bite, but still haven't gotten around to it. I've read only The Replacement, and it was ok read, but fits the read-a-thon ;)

I hope your kitty will get well soon, and that you'll manage to read a lot!

    Happy reading!

And gosh, I love your list! I wish I was at home and could take out my Peregrine copy too. It would be so perfect!

  7. I vote for Some Girls Bite! Hands down! This is one of my all time favorite series and I wish more people would read it. It has vampires, werewolves, witches, fairies and all that other good stuff. And Ethan? YUMMY!

(I thought it started off kind of slow but sooooo worth it. Kind of like how Vampire Academy started kind of slow...)

Hope your cat feels better and you get to read some awesome books!

Oh, and WHY would you want to read a spoiler for This is not a test!? Don't ruin the ending for yourself. It's a good ending so you have nothing to worry about.

    1. I plan to read it sometime soon! I hear great things about it.

LOL I like spoilers sometimes. I just hear the ending is crazy and I hope it isn't sad like everyone dies in the end or something.

  8. I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. I hope he gets better soon. I am listening to the audiobook of Miss Peregrine's and so far it's really good. It's read by Jessie Bernstein too which makes it even better. I love audiobooks read by him!! I also really need to get to Velveteen and This is Not a test. Oh, and Born at Midnight. I bought that like a year ago and haven't read it yet. Good luck and have fun!!!

Poor kitty :( I couldn't do the IVs. I used to try giving my horses their shots myself... yeah, that didn't go well. lol

    1. Yes it went horrible today! I was almost in tears! I took a stress nap and my family did it for me. It is something that will probably need to be done for the rest of his life since he is 17 and has begun kidney failure. His kidneys must be flushed out once a week to keep him feeling good so I have to get used to it. It is just really hard :-(

    1. Been really wanting to read it but I decided to start with a more upbeat read of Body & Soul. Has ghosts but isn't really scary.
