I'm waiting on
Every Day by David Levithan
Expected Release Date August 28th 2012
Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl.
Every morning, A wakes in a different person’s body, a different person’s life. There’s never any warning about where it will be or who it will be. A has made peace with that, even established guidelines by which to live: Never get too attached. Avoid being noticed. Do not interfere.
It’s all fine until the morning that A wakes up in the body of Justin and meets Justin’s girlfriend, Rhiannon. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Because finally A has found someone he wants to be with—day in, day out, day after day.
With his new novel, David Levithan has pushed himself to new creative heights. He has written a captivating story that will fascinate readers as they begin to comprehend the complexities of life and love in A’s world, as A and Rhiannon seek to discover if you can truly love someone who is destined to change every day.

Why I'm Waiting?
Ever since I heard of this book I have been thinking about it! I'm so intrigued by the concept of being in a different body every single day! You would never have any real friends, family, or a career of your own. Each day you wake up with a different life to live. That is crazy! How in the world will he find Rhiannon every day in a different body? Also I feel kind of bad for the bodies he takes. Do they remember their missing day? How does this work? LOL I'm so curious! I've never read anything by this author but I've heard some great things about his other books.

I've heard many good things about David Levitant, and this one sounds very different and interesting! Living in someone else body every day sounds kinda .... eerie. Who, or What is A, exactly? Now I also curious!

OMG! I want this now!!! This sounds so amazing. Awesome WOW pick:)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really good! It also sounds a lot like the series Mercy, except that the main character is a female exiled angel.

I didn't know he had one coming out so soon! Yay! I adore David Levithan. We met him last fall when he played moderator at an impromptu YA panel at our local indie and he is simply amazing. Great speaker and great writer. And then he has that whole editing/publishing gig :-) Truly ambitious and talented.

ReplyDeleteI only started using the Disqus yesterday. It's ok. You can't always go to someone's blog from the comment though, for instance, yours brings me to your FB page, some take you to a Twitter page, some seem to have no link at all. I'll stick with it for now though and see how it goes. I can always get the link to blogs in the email.

I didn't like the sound of it when I first saw it. And the fact that he's called 'A' just like the one in Pretty Little Liars was a bit weird for me,
ReplyDeletebut now that I read all your questions, hmmm I'm intrigued. Maybe I'll try it out when it comes out. I haven't read anything by the author either, but I've seen (and loved) Ten Things I Hate About You, which is based on one of his books ;)
OOOOOOO This sounds good. I'll keep my eye out for it. Sounds like I'd like it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletemy wow
Holy shizz. This sone sounds AMAZING! I have never heard anything like it before! Wonderful pick, Jenn. I'm soooo adding this one!
ReplyDeleteHi, Every Day!!! I'm dying to read this book just as much as you are. The concept is so different and incredibly cool. But I agree with Proserpine, I do not like the cover. I wish it was more epic. And his "name" A reminds me of that movie Dhoom 2 where the con artist was called Mr. A. I think it adds more mystery to the whole thing. Nice pick :).
ReplyDeleteThis is the second time today I've seen this book!! So I actually stopped and read more about it and holy cow!!! Sweeeeeeet. Since I haven't read any of Levithan's books, I wonder how a guy writes romance. Get to work on that ARC and let us know ;) And why do I keep thinking about the show "Quantum Leap"?????
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting me today!!! Have a great rest of the week!!!!
I've been wondering about David Levithan's books. I haven't read any of them but I've seen some reviews.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, this book has a really nice concept! And I definitely have to give this some time to read when it comes out.

This sounds great! The summary certainly does leave with us with lots of questions, doesn't it? Why does he have to be in a different body every day? That would be insane and a little sad, I think. Definitely a book worth looking into.
