WOW #19

I'm waiting on

Speechless

Speechless by Hannah Harrington
Expected Release Date August 28th 2012

The story of a girl named Chelsea Knot who takes a voluntary oath of silence after her gossip-mongering ways yield unexpected consequences…

Why I'm Waiting?
I loved Saving June by this author! It was so good. One of the few realistic fiction books I have ever read where I really felt very connected to the main character and understood her. I can't wait to read more from this author. The description is short but it's enough to know this will be a very emotional and powerful book. The cover is simple but fits. It's supposed to be shiny and pretty in person. Really curious as to what consequence her gossip caused and how the book will be handled since Chelsea will be silent for most of it.

  20. Great pick! I'm so curious about this one. I went to school w/a girl who refused to speak. I never found out why. Made for interesting showdowns when teachers called on her. She never gave in. Thanks for sharing!

  34. This is such an odd book. Plain cover, that somehow manages to catch your eye because of it. A blurb that is one sentence long but it seems to work better than a long one. I love it!
