Top 10 Books I've Read In 2011

So far I have read 178 Books in 2011
Some really really hard choices
I decided to make an entire series count as one book
These are in no real order. I tried but failed. Each book was amazing
in such a different way for so many different reasons.
Also you can click on any of the pictures to take you to the goodreads page
for more info and to add the book to-read

 Best of YA

Same author so I will cheat and count them as one.
Both were amazing and had me crying so hard I was hyperventilating! LOL

Divergent (Divergent, #1)
Truly amazing book. Unique concept with so much action. And of course Four was hot!
Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1)
I loved this. Amy and Elder were adorable and I loved the ship.
Also the shock about Elder at the end was not expected.

I don't think much needs to be said about these. Awesome.
My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers, #1) My Soul to Save (Soul Screamers, #2) My Soul to Keep (Soul Screamers, #3) My Soul to Steal (Soul Screamers, #4) If I Die (Soul Screamers, #5)
I was so happy I finally tried this series. The fifth book blew me away.
I would have never found this book on my own. It was a group read on one of my goodreads clubs so I gave it a try. Surprisingly amazing. Not something I would normally read but was shockingly into it.

These books were just so emotional. Again not something I would normally pick for myself so when I read them and balled, I knew I found a winner. I think Where She Went was even better.
Vampire Academy (Vampire Academy, #1) Frostbite (Vampire Academy, #2) Shadow Kiss (Vampire Academy, #3) Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, #4) Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5) Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6)
I was put off by the covers. What an idiot I was! My all time favorite character, Adrian Ivashkov, resides here so they are forever a favorite.

Switched (Trylle Trilogy, #1)Torn (Trylle Trilogy, #2)   Ascend (Trylle Trilogy, #3)

I read these before they got a publisher. They were truly amazing and I stayed up for three nights in a row finishing them all. They have gorgeous covers now but these are the covers they had when I read them.
At first I didn't think I would like this series. Then I met Jem!
Now I like it better than the Mortal Instruments.

Honorable Mentions!
I am never one to stay in my boundaries

I just finished this one a few weeks ago and it blew me away.
A very honest and relatable look at the journey of moving on after losing a loved one.
This one was scary and fun! I love it!
Awesome werewolf book! I love Shay and Ren! Literally I still can't choose.
I think my Team button is for Shay but I would take Ren for myself!
One word. Tucker.

Reign or Shine (Demon Princess, #1)  Reign Check (Demon Princess, #2) Reign Fall
Last but definitely not least one of my favorite author's very cute and fun YA series!
I read the first two before 2011 but I did re-read them again this year.
I also just finished an eARC of the third book not out until January.
It was so fantastic I have to include it.

Adult Top 10

Living In Eden series by Michelle Rowen

  8. Great list of books! I'm jealous you managed to read all of them, because almost all of them are on my tbr list or wishlist, and I've read only The Hunger Games trilogy, Vampire Academy #1 & Halfway to the Grave (it almost made on my list). I did pre-order Switched with the new gorgeous cover & I'm looking forward to getting it (and reading) in January :D

  9. Oh so many amazing picks here! I love The Hunger Games, Divergent & Adrian is my favourite character from VA too! Love that boy ;-)

I'm a BIG Black Dagger Brotherhood fan & I'm so glad you enjoyed them! I also just got the Sookie Stackhouse box set for Christmas so I can't wait to read that! I absolutely adore True Blood & hope I like the books just as much.

Thank you for saying hi & following! Followed back :-D

  10. Arggghh I can't believe I left If I Stay and Where She Went off my list, what was I thinking? Saving June was another favourite of mine too. Great choices.

  11. DIVERGENT on another list. I really must read it!

I'm very leery of Amanda Hocking. I read a random page in one of her to-be-published titles (I received an ARC) and was not impress with the language.

I just put ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD on hold. Looks good!

  18. I love top ten lists! And this one is great! I did love Anna Dressed in Blood and I agree about Tucker!! Wow. I also agree about Lauren Oliver's books - brilliant.

Some of these I haven't read, but after reading your post, I'm looking them up (Clockwork Angel)

I have a top five on my blog, not as pretty as your post though!

  19. Ha, how I love your list! I tried to chose 10 books, and I actually managed it - sort of - but I've read quite a lot as well (400 books) so I absolutely get why it was hard for you. Cheating as okay here, right? XD

I need to get my hands on Lauren Oliver's novels. I actually HAVE them already, but I didn't manage to pick them up.

Divergent is on my list as well. I love it!! Love seems to be a word that doesn't match my feelings towards this novel at all. I usually dislike YA novels, but this one was sooo good! Same goes for the Soul Screamers series.

I also loved the Vampire Academy and Hunger Games novels, and Unearthly was a really good read.. Ffu, your list is epic! : D

And your Adult list! (What the, you know how to cheat LOL)

I read the Nightshade novels just a few days ago and enjoyed them so much! Hmm, it's weird - I have you on my Goodreads list, but I've never noticed that you like the Georgina Kincaid, Night Huntress, Mercy Thompson and Black Dagger Brotherhood series.. Or I already forgot? *scratches head* Well, I love this list as well! : D

    Happy Holidays,
    Patricia
