Dez Cross has problems. She’s almost eighteen and on the verge of losing her mind thanks to the drug Denazen used to enhance her abilities. People close to her have turned their back on the underground and are now fighting for the wrong side. And then there’s Kale... Things couldn’t get any worse. Until of course, they do. Denazen is about to start a new trial—this one called Domination—and it works. But that means out with the old and in with the new. The order has been given to terminate all remnants of the second trial—including Dez. The good news is that there’s a survivor from the original trial. A woman who’s blood may hold the cure for the second generation of Supremacy kid’s defect. But the underground Sixes aren’t the only ones who know about her…. Cross is willing to throw everything he has to keep Dez from getting the cure—including the one thing that might tear her apart from the inside out.

Kale is gone and still with Kiernan and Denazen. Dez will not give up on trying to get him back. She doesn't have much time though because the experiment done on her is starting to affect her mind and powers. Her 18th birthday is coming and then she will die and that is if Denazen doesn't destroy her first. Dez is also trying to find the other sixes in her experimental group and save them as well.

I was happy there was little Jade in this book but Kiernan replaced her as the character I most hate. I wanted to slap her the entire time I was reading! Kale is still sweet and adorable but confused. When he went back to Denazen they manipulated him. His powers grew and he doesn't remember Dez. I adore him but was sad to see him away from Dez. Not to fear they still have plenty of scenes together! I was so angry Kiernan would play along. She wanted to fit in and feel loved by her and Dez's dad but that man is so evil. Denazen was delved into deeper and I learned a lot more back story and that Dez's dad might not even be the most evil person behind it.

Dez and the gang can never catch a break. I kind of like that in this series though. So many books have everything work out perfect but Dez's plans never work out. Whenever they are trying to retrieve something, often times they don't get it. Sad but realistic which I enjoy. I'm kept on the edge of my seat the entire time. Of course my favorite thing about the series is Kale. I love him! The series is worth reading just for him and his love of Dez. So sweet. Like Dez has said herself, even though Kale was brought up in Denzen he came out still a very likeable person. He has a naive innocence that really draws you in and has you rooting for him. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

"I know that I would have died for this person. To keep her safe. To keep her happy-- and I know that it was you."

"I trust you," I repeated.
Leaning close, lips brushing my right ear, he whispered, "Then can I kiss you again?"

"Whatever it was I did to steal your heart when we met, I'll do it again. I swear."
I didn't bother correcting him. He never lost it.

"I don't remember what we had--yet--but I know now in my heart, in my soul, that I am your Kale."

Rating: 5/5

COMING SOON FROM JUS ACCARDO!
The first book in a brand new series!
DARKER DAYS by Jus Accardo.

Jessie Darker goes to high school during the day, but at night she helps with the family investigation business. Cheating husbands and stolen inheritances? They’re your girls—but their specialty is a bit darker. Zombie in your garage? Pesky Poltergeist living in your pool? They’ll have the problem solved in a magical minute. For a nominal fee, of course... When gorgeous new client, Lukas Scott, saunters into the office requesting their help to find a stolen box, it sounds like a simple case—until the truth comes out. The box is full of Sin. Seven deadly ones, in fact. They’ve got five days to recapture the Sins before they're recalled by the box, taking seven hijacked human bodies with them. Easy peasy—except for one thing... There’s a spell that will allow the Sins to remain free, causing chaos forever. When the key ingredient threatens the life of someone she knows, Jessie must make the ultimate choice between love and family—or lose everything.
