At 900 years old, Nissa is finally ready to follow her mother's path and become the best Fairy Godmother she can. She’s not thrilled when her first assignment turns out to be a teenage human girl with self-esteem issues, but she knows she has to start somewhere. Her assignment has dealt with bullies since her freshman year and they haven’t let up. If Nissa can’t help her regain her self-confidence her future is bleak. To complicate matters Nissa experiences all the signs that she's met the being fated for her. This impossibility distracts her from her purpose. After all, fairies and humans aren't meant for each other. How can her heart believe otherwise? Can Nissa successfully complete her first assignment as a Fairy Godmother? Will the fates allow Nissa and Levi to be together? And even if they do, will Levi believe Nissa once she reveals the truth?

Nissa is being sent on her first mission as a Fairy Godmother to help Vicky regain her confidence. Vicky is a bit of a loner because she has two boys that have been picking on her all of high school. Nissa befriends Vicky and helps her learn to stand up for herself. Then she meets Vicky's brother and is instantly drawn to him. She gets tingly signs that he is her mate. But for Nissa to be fated to him she must ask permission and would have to leave her family forever.

Nissa hasn't been in the human realm much so she is humorous on her first mission. She is used to the fairy realm so she does a few odd things like wants to just sleep on a pile of twigs when they go camping. Nissa is very sweet though and determined to help people. That is why she became a Fairy Godmother after all. Nissa becomes attached to Vicky and Levi really fast and I knew she would have trouble leaving them after her assignment. I did think she completed her assignment rather easily but I guess it was her first one so maybe they gave her a simple one.

Levi is in college and at first doesn't think it would be a good idea to date Nissa who is pretending to be a high school senior but is really 900 years old. He was a very sweet guy. I found their relationship a little bit fast but I guess with the aspect of being fated it made sense. Nissa gets all the signs a fairy receives when she meets the one. It is usually never a human so this scares Nissa. She has to work up a lot of courage to go to the Fates and ask if she can be with Levi. If they deny her she will never be able to see him again but if they approve it then she can never go back to her fairy family. Very difficult choice.

This was a really cute and fast read. It was a light read I enjoyed. I love ABC Family and Disney made for TV movies and this felt exactly like one of those. A really sweet fairytale romance and adventure that still had some lessons about bullying and being proud of yourself.

"You make me feel so many things, Nissa. I don't know what I'm going to do with you."
"What do you want to do with me?"
His eyes smoldered and he looked at me intently.
"Sometimes I wonder if you understand what you're saying, or if you are truly so innocent you have no guise."

"The waiting is the hardest part. I'm so happy that you came to find me, so I can kiss you and touch you and tell you I love you one last time."

  6. I just love the cover on this one! I am really glad you liked this one as much as you did, for whatever reason I just couldn't connect to any of the characters or even the story line.
